Adedoyin meets three mentors, courtesy of Prof. Jatin Nathwani
Our Executive Director, Adedoyin Adeleke, participated at the second edition of Affordable Energy for Humanity biennial Innovation Lab (June 19-21), at the Univeristy of Waterloo in Waterloo, Canada; courtesy of an invitation from Prof. Jatin Nathwani. The innocvation lab was organised by Waterloo Institute for Sustainable Energy (WISE) led by Prof. Jatin Nathwani, to chart new impact pathways for energy access on human livelihood. The Innovation lab hosted researchers, practitioners, students, among other actors in the sustainable energy from across the globe among whom were Xavier Vallve (Trama TecnoAmbiental, Spain) and Maria Yetano Roche (Wuppertal Institut) who are also mentors on our Mentoring for Research Pro gramme (MRP). In addition to Prof. Jatin Nathwani’s support for MRP as a mentor, Prof. Jatin Nathwani and Nigel Moore, Manager, Global Programmes and Initiatives at WISE have been active supporters of ISNAD-Africa. Adedoyin’s participation (which was funded by WISE) at innovation lab afforded opportunity for him the opportunity to meet Prof. Nathwani, Xavier Vallve and Maria Yetano Roche. In 2018, Prof. Nathwani through WISE supported his mentee, Philip Omenge on MRP with a travel grant to present his research at International Conference on Solar Technologies and Hybrid Mini Grids to improve Energy Access in Spain.
