ISNAD-Africa gets UNEP’s Accreditation

We are delighted to announce that ISNAD-Africa has recently became a United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) accredited non-governmental organisation. The accreditation confers on us an Observer status at the United Nations Environment Assembly, with opportunities to contribute to UNEP’s work on environmental policy.

This accreditation gives ISNAD-Africa the opportunity to engage in policy dialogue at UNEP, by participating in various sessions of the United Nations Environment Assembly, committees within the assembly and UNEP’s other governing bodies. It also gives us the opportunity to contribute written documents and statements that will help us to lend our voice to decision-making in governments, using UNEP as a platform. For reference, please see the list of accredited organizations on the UNEP website.

No great feat or achievement in any organization can be done without the contribution of its stakeholders, and this is no exception. For this reason, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all stakeholders: partners, volunteers, experts, beneficiaries, followers and supporters for all the work done and support so far, leading to this accreditation.

We have come a long way since we started out, and with you, we hope to achieve greater feats and achievements in the coming years.
