IMPACT STORY  

MARYANN ODOEMEN 

My name is Maryann Odoemen, I am a sixteen-year-old student at African Child College. I want to first and foremost thank ISNAD-Africa and WWF for the initiative to set up the Eco Heroes Club in my school, and our advisor Dr Etim, as well as our club coordinators for their guidance and direction. As a member of the club, I have learnt a lot during the Environmental Education Project. I am really happy to be able to help contribute to the reduction of global warming through production of solar reading lamps. It makes me want to explore more on the project and do more to reduce the negative effect of climate change in the world. Thank you.

 


GIFT LEVI DANIEL

I am Gift Levi Daniel, an SS1 student at African Child College and a proud member of Eco Heroes club. I am happy with the Environmental Education Project we did that was sponsored by ISNAD-Africa and World Wildlife Fund (WWF), I would like to say a big ‘THANK YOU’ to the two organization for giving us the opportunity to bring our ideas and innovation to reality, also to Dr Etim, our advisor, and our two club coordinators. I am glad to be part of the project that will help to reduce the effect of fossil fuels in our environment.






AWELEWA BRAIN

My name is Awelewa Brain, I am in SS2 at African Child College. I’m a member of Eco Heroes Club, I joined the club last term when we were told the club was about the environment. I have always wanted to be among a group of people whose goals are to fight the threat brought about by climate change in human lives, all thanks to ISNAD-Africa and WWF, I am able to achieve that. The solar panel reading lamp project has helped to broaden my knowledge on the issues brought about by climate change and how it can be prevented.






ADEBAYO PRECIOUS 

I am Adebayo Precious, an SS2 student at African Child College, and a member of Eco Heroes club. I have learnt so much about climate change from the club and I’m really excited about the Environmental Education Project. Before now, I didn’t know I could produce anything useful, but now, with what I have learnt, I am confident that I can bring impactful changes to my environment. I really appreciate our Advisor Dr Etim, the two club coordinators, ISNAD-Africa and WWF for their encouragement, leading us through the project, and making funds available for the project. 



PATRICK DAVID 

My name is Patrick David; I am a member of the Eco Heroes club set up by ISNAD-Africa in my school, African Child College. I have been enlightened and educated about various solutions to climate change through the solar-powered reading lamps sponsored by ISNAD-Africa and WWF. I am excited to be a member of the team whose project (EEP) is a step forward towards achieving a pollution-free environment. 






ABOBI PRECIOUS 

My name is Abobi Precious. I am the current team leader of Eco Heroes club of African Child College. Since the club advent, we have been educated about various solutions to climate change, especially with the production of solar powered reading lamp that was sponsored by ISNAD-Africa and WWF. The Environmental Education Project serves as a drive for me to expand on the knowledge learnt and help to create other solar-powered equipment that will be less expensive and not polluting. 





GOODLUCK SUNDAY 

I am Goodluck Sunday. I am a student at African Child College and a member of Eco Heroes Club. I’d like to appreciate the efforts of our club coordinators, advisor, ISNAD-Africa and WWF for sponsoring the Environmental Education Project of producing solar reading lamps for students.  The knowledge gained from the project equips me with skills that will enable become financially independent in the future. I am glad to be part of the club that has helped to proffer solution to environmental issues. 





JOSEPH OCHAI 

I am Joseph Ochai, a student at African Child College and a member of Eco Heroes Club. I really learnt a lot from a lot from the Environmental Education Project, I am able to produce a solar reading lamp all by myself without supervision. I am very happy that I’m able to add value to the society through this means, the project helped me think critically and learn new things. I appreciate ISNAD-Africa and WWF for sponsoring the project that will help students read comfortably at night without noise or polluted air. 




SHARON JESSE 

My name is Sharon Jesse, I am a 14-year-old student of African Child College, and a member of Eco Heroes Club. The club through our coordinators and advisor provided a platform for me to learn and understand the adverse effects of climate change and how to prevent it, especially by reducing our human activities that pollutes the environment. I appreciate ISNAD-Africa and WWF for sponsoring our Environmental Education Project; the solar reading lamp, which is a pollution free source of energy as it does not emit harmful gases while generating power. 




VICTOR OMOGONI 

My name is Victor Omogoni, a student at African Child College and a member of Eco Heroes Club. My appreciation goes to ISNAD-Africa and WWF for funding our solar reading lamp EEP project through the efforts of our club coordinators and advisor. I have learnt to make good use of things I find around my environment to solve problems, try new ideas and innovations. Thank you. 







CYNTHIA KANU 

I am Cynthia Kanu, a member of Eco Heroes Club of African Child College. I’d like to appreciate ISNAD-Africa and WWF for sponsoring us to solve one of the problems we identified in our community through production of solar reading lamps for me and my fellow students. I am very happy to be a member of a problem-solving club and I hope that we will continue with more Environmental Education Project that will help our communities. Thank you.

My name is Fortune Idu, I am the assistant club leader of Eco Heroes club, African Child College. I have learnt so much about my environment and climate change, as well developing ideas that can help solve problems in my environment.
